Course Information
Description	Overview of the recording studio. Includes basic studio electronics and acoustic principles, waveform properties, microphone concepts and placement techniques, studio set up and signal flow, console theory, signal processing concepts, multi-track principles and operation, and an overview of mixing and editing.
Prerequisites	This course does not have any prerequisites, other than some basic understanding of working with a PC or Mac computer.

Course Policies
Instructor Policies	Students can email me at roemr@lamarpa.edu, and I will respond as soon as possible. Grades will be available on BLACKBOARD. However, I will not discuss your grades over the phone or by email. No late work will be accepted.
Attendance Policy	Attendance accounts for 20 percent of a student grade. For every unexcused tardy or absence that grade will reduce by 10 percent(starting from 100).
Academic Honesty	Academic honesty is expected from all students, and dishonesty in any form will not be tolerated. Please consult the LSC-PA policies (Section IX, subsection A, in the Faculty Handbook) for consequences of academic dishonesty.
Facility Policies	No food or tobacco products are allowed in the classroom. Only students enrolled in the course are allowed in the classroom, except by special instructor permission. Use of electronic devices is prohibited.
